Introduction
GreenFoot organizes weekly meetups and activities on various topics related to environmental awareness and living an eco-friendly lifestyle. GreenFoot is probably one of the groups with the greatest variety for really outgoing people. They've organized hikes in Hong Kong, daytrips, rooftop farm trips and plogging, plus regular local meetups. GreenFoot events are also one of the best ways to expand your social network, especially for people who follow green lifestyles. You're going to be able to find others who know where all the vegan and vegetarian dining options are and zero-waste lifestyle hacks at GreenFoot events. Each week has a different activity held in Chinese and English, ranging from trash pick-up hikes and runs, eco-camping, eco boat trips, second-hand goods exchanges, talks and social meetups. One of the most interesting things to me personally about GreenFoot is the founder, Angela. She is a really driven, high-energy woman who has an impressive background working for big brands, as well as an education in engineering. Angela currently dedicates all of her energy to promoting this single cause - giving people a chance to live in a more eco-friendly way. GreenFoot had a low-key start in 2015 as a simple recycling platform for university students, but it soon flourished as members and volunteers wished to extend their vision and energy into more extensive and various environmental preservation projects. In 2017, GreenFoot formally came into being as a community of dedicated, environmentally-conscious members taking proactive steps to promote environmentally-friendly practices while also expanding their social networks.
